New Audrina Patridge boyfriend Ryan Cabrera joining 'The Hills'

Ryan Cabrera will once again appear on an MTV reality series as the love interest of one of its stars.

The 27-year-old musician -- who previously appeared on MTV's The Ashlee Simpson Show reality series when he dated its star five years ago -- will appear on The Hills' upcoming season as Audrina Patridge's boyfriend, E! News reported Thursday.
"They shot for about an hour at a secluded table on the patio," an eyewitness told E! News after seeing the couple on Friday night at Hollywood's La Vida.
While Cabrera's representative confirmed to E! News that he will be on The Hills'sixth season episodes, he has yet to sign a contract.
Cabrera and Patridge had dated several years ago before they reportedly rekindling their romance in January. They were subsequently spotted holding hands while vacationing in Mexico earlier this month.
The Ashlee Simpson Show aired on MTV for two seasons in 2004 and 2005.
