Actress Megan Mullaly's daytime TV talk show has been axed by NBC Universal for pulling poor ratings among U.S. viewers.

The former "Will & Grace" star drew only 1 million viewers nationwide compared to Oprah Winfrey's average of 8 million and rookie competitor Rachel Ray's nearly 3 million for their talk shows, E! Online noted Thursday.
NBC Universal said they considered Mullaly to be "one of the most talented people in our business," however E! speculated that fans of Mullaly's dizzy "Will" character might have been disappointed at her playing it straight with her celebrity guests.
A combination of new and repeat episodes will be aired through the end of the month, E! said.
