UPI News Service, 05/26/2006

NBC Thursday switched up its fall schedule only days after announcing the lineup to potential advertisers in New York.

The Peacock Network moved its new comedy/drama "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" from 9 p.m. Eastern Thursday to Monday at 10 p.m. Eastern, The Hollywood Reporter said. NBC moved the anticipated series from "The West Wing" creator Aaron Sorkin off Thursdays after ABC moved its hit, "Grey's Anatomy," from Sundays to Thursdays for the 2006-07 season.

To make room for "Strip," NBC said it would hold its returning drama, "Medium," off the prime time schedule until midseason.

The network also shuffled "Law & Order" to Friday night and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" to Tuesday night, and moved another installment of its game show, "Deal or No Deal," into the Thursday night slot vacated by "Strip."

The new drama, "Kidnapped," will take over "Law and Order's" customary Wednesday night spot.
