NBC orders 13 episodes of new 'Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip' drama

Aaron Sorkin and Thomas Schlamme's "The West Wing" may be leaving NBC, but there's word in Hollywood the pair will have a new drama on the network next year.
"Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" is set behind the scenes of "Saturday Night Live"-type sketch comedy show, The Hollywood Reporter said.
NBC has ordered 13 episodes of the show from its producer, Warner Bros. TV, The Reporter said.
"Aaron Sorkin and Thomas Schlamme's work is TV at its best, and 'Studio 60' lives up to that standard," NBC Entertainment President Kevin Reilly said in making the announcement.
The ensemble drama stars Matthew Perry, Amanda Peet and "West Wing" alum Bradley Whitford.
