David Silverman, who was forced to move to Baltimore when the owners of the M Street mall in Washington, where the museum had been located, opted out of their lease agreement. He said the museum will be opening at its new location at Baltimore's old Chocolate Factory building on Water Street Jan. 14, The Baltimore Sun reported Monday.

"Baltimore proved to be the most encouraging location," Silverman said. "People seem to be really excited, really supportive. They've been coming by, knocking on the windows, giving a thumbs-up. We have all good feelings."

Silverman said visitors will be able to purchase 2-hour, 4-hour or all-day tickets to play on the 50 machines located in the museum's upper level. He said the downstairs area will be filled with exhibits tracing pinball's origins from the 18th century to the present day.
