The accused stalker of Australian pop star Natalie Imbruglia has been deemed too mentally ill to be questioned by police, the BBC reported Wednesday.

The 44-year-old man was arrested Nov. 1 after turning up, with several suitcases and a guitar, on the doorstep of the singer's $3.8 million mansion near Windsor, England, and demanding to move in with her. Imbruglia and her husband saw the man on their closed-circuit TV system and called police.
Officers arrested and detained the man, who is believed to have flown to London from Australia intent on making a life with the former "Neighbors" star. Imbruglia, who reportedly is terrified of stalkers, is said to have been "freaked out" by the incident.
Imbruglia, 29, married Australian rock star Daniel Jones last year.
