The six adult stars of the sitcom "Modern Family" are suing to void their contracts as part of their salary negotiations, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Ed O'Neill, Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Sofia Vergara plan to file the lawsuit against 20th Century Fox Television in Los Angeles Superior Court this week, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.
The actors' strategy for getting pay raises delayed Tuesday's scheduled table read -- during which actors gather to read a script as an early step in production -- which would have kicked off the Emmy Award-winning show's fourth season, The Hollywood Reporter said.
