Three-time Grammy Award nominee Christian Julian Irwin, 48, was found Friday by a Topanga Canyon resident not far from where Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies had been looking for him all week, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.
Irwin was washing his pants in a stream when he was spotted by a passerby who recognized him as the missing producer, Sheriff's Capt. Ron Peavy told the Times.
Peavy said Irwin was "very delusional" and very hungry and taken to a local hospital for physical and mental evaluations.
Irwin disappeared Sunday after phoning a friend to say he was being pursued by Internet con men from Nigeria.
Irwin has produced recordings for Queen Latifah, De La Soul, Carly Simon, David Bowie and Vanessa Williams.
