The owner of a Maine store said the bait section of his shop is being targeted by minks -- or perhaps the same mink making return appearances.

John Belvin of The Junction Store in Brownville said he first discovered a mink rummaging around in a fish tank in the bait section of the store Saturday. He captured the animal and drove it to a riverbank a mile away, the Bangor (Maine) Daily News reported Thursday.
"We have like a filter on top of the fish tank, and he had climbed in, killed some fish and had stockpiled them on top of the filter," Belvin said. "He was stockpiling them like cordwood."
Belvin said he and his brother, Don, opened the store Sunday to find the fish killed by the first mink were stacked by the door.
"We knew either the same one had come back or it was another one," he said.
The brothers set out a trap and captured the mink Monday. Belvin said he again took the animal to the river.
"We were nice to them the first time, but if they come back, that was a $100 (feast). We're not so sure we'll be as nice the second time," Don Belvin said.
