Michael Vartan said he married Lauren Skaar over the weekend in a ceremony in Southern California.

The former "Alias" star, who currently has a lead role in "Hawthorne," told People magazine it likely be a short honeymoon since he has to report back to the set on Tuesday.

"Just bad luck with the timing," Vartan said. "But at least we have three months to plan something very romantic."

Saturday's ceremony took place at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Orange County.

Skaar, who has her own bridal shop in St. Paul, Minn., wore a customized Vera Wang gown and did much of the planning for the ceremony.

Vartan met his new wife two years ago at a Los Angeles Whole Foods store, People said.
