The Directors Guild of America has nominated Michael Moore for best documentary director for "Fahrenheit 9/11," The Hollywood Reporter said Thursday.

Moore was included in a field of five nominees that also included Jehane Noujaim for the documentary about the al Jazeera news service "Control Room."
The DGA also nominated Byambasuren Davaa and Luigi Falorni for "The Story of the Weeping Camel"; Ross Kauffman and Zana Briski for "Born Into Brothels"; and Ross McElwee for "Bright Leaves."
The DGA will present its annual awards on Jan. 29 at ceremonies in Beverly Hills, Calif.
