Jackson spent about six hours at the Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital Sunday for back problems, his spokesman told CBS News' "The Early Show" Monday. He returned home late Sunday to await a verdict with his family, the spokesman said.
The jury in Jackson's child molestation trial deliberated for just a couple of hours Friday before adjourning for the weekend.
Jackson's health problems were rampant throughout the trial. Flu-like symptoms, back pain and a fall all sent him seeking treatment and halted proceedings during various phases, finally prompting the judge's threat to arrest him if he did not show up in court.
The Rev. Jesse Jackson told the "Early Show" the accused child-molester is suffering "excruciating pain" as well as mental stress.
Jackson has pleaded not guilty to molesting a 13-year-old boy in 2003, giving him wine and conspiring to hold the boy's family captive.
