Melanie Moore wins 'So You Think You Can Dance's eight season

Melanie Moore has won Season 8 of the U.S. dance competition series "So You Think You Can Dance."

"I was ready to take second [place] very graciously. In my head I really thought Sasha was going to win," People.com said the 19-year-old Georgia native told reporters after the winner was announced Thursday night. "Just being up there and being named one of the final two I was like, 'Wait, is this really happening?' I just started crying."
Moore beat out fellow finalist Sasha Mallory, a 23-year-old dancer from Bakersfield, Calif., in the season finale of the show.
