Hollywood actor-director Mel Gibson has filed for a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend, Russian musician-singer Oksana Grigorieva, People.com said.

The couple dated for about a year before announcing their breakup in April. They are the parents of an infant daughter named Lucia.
Although legal documents filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court are sealed, RadarOnline said the central issue behind Gibson's request for a restraining order involves Gibson's access to baby Lucia.
People.com said Gibson's publicist declined to comment on the story.
Gibson has seven other children with Robyn Moore, his wife of 30 years, who filed for divorce from Gibson in April 2009.
