Mel Gibson has been booked on a domestic violence charge at California's El Segundo Police Department, law enforcement sources told TMZ.

Gibson pleaded no contest Friday in a Los Angeles court to one misdemeanor count of domestic violence.
In exchange for his plea, the "Braveheart" and "Lethal Weapon" star was sentenced to three years probation, a 12-month domestic violence counseling program, community service and various fines.
The misdemeanor stems from an altercation the actor-director allegedly had in January 2010 with his ex-girlfriend, musician Oksana Grigorieva, with whom he has a toddler-age daughter.
Judge Stephanie Sautner Friday ordered Gibson to go to a police station within a week to have his mug shot and fingerprints taken, which he did Wednesday night, TMZ reported.
Gibson became a polarizing figure in Hollywood after making anti-Semitic remarks to a police officer during a July 2006 drunken driving arrest.
Audio of Gibson allegedly uttering racial slurs during the heated argument with Grigorieva hit the Internet last summer, further tarnishing Gibson's reputation.
