Police in St. Cloud, Minn., said a man has admitted to dropping bags of dog feces in the back of a pickup truck because he "hates" John McCain.

Officers said David Vanderlinden, 45, admitted to placing the bags of dog waste in his neighbor's truck -- which bears bumper stickers supporting the Arizona senator and his vice presidential pick, Sarah Palin -- because Vanderlinden "hates McCain," the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported Friday.

Police said they were tipped off about the dog-doo drops by the mother of the truck's owner, who spotted Vanderlinden in the act.

Vanderlinden was given a $183 fine by police for littering/unlawful dumping.
