Married at First Sight star Shawniece Jackson has quit Twitter following an expletive-filled rant in which she slammed MAFS fans for criticizing her husband Jephte Pierre.

"Yo I'm done... ppl take things so seriously. I can't joke with my husband who I love. Y'all talk about him based off 3 min clips of what made has been a 5 hour convo," Shawniece wrote in a series of tweets on Friday morning.

"I did this shit so y'all can see real relationship grow in love  and together. But instead y'all wanna see just the good or either both parties bashing each other for y'all to then talk about them. I can't joke with Jephte he can't be himself, this shit is bigger than MAFS."

"There are real men struggling when they get what the need or want so stop criticizing my husband for getting through it. At least he's working on becoming a better person first, then husband. I'm officially over it! I will stick to my private page and be happy," the Married at First Sight and Married at First Sight: Happily Ever After star continued.

"Here I am thinking I'm doing something for the ppl and it's like a slap on the face. Fuck that & im out nooooooo bull. I've had enough."

"Now go run & tell that cause all I need is someone to talk about my kid & imma loose my shit. Public figure or not like I said I wanted to show ppl what real relationships look like. We did this to get the experts help."

"We working on bettering ourselves. Take care and enjoy the show each week. I'm logging off until next year."

Jephte acknowledged and reacted to Shawniece's tweets later on Friday afternoon.

The new Married at First Sight spinoff follows Season 6 couple Shawniece and Jephte, Season 5 couple Ashley Petta and Anthony D'Amico, and Season 7 couple Danielle Bergman and Bobby Dodd and shows the current status of their relationships -- which includes all three women being pregnant with each couple's first child.

During Happily Ever After's premiere, Shawniece and Jephte revealed that even though they had opted to stay together at the end of MAFS Season 5's eight-week experiment, they subsequently temporarily separated and were not currently wearing their wedding rings.

Shawniece said she took the rings because after eight months of marriage, Jephte was unhappy and they were still arguing frequently.

"I just made the decision to separate," Shawniece told Married at First Sight expert Dr. Jessica Griffin, before Jephte clarified they took some time apart after the show so he could find himself again.

Jephte apparently left Shawniece and didn't see her for two or three weeks.

He said he had an extremely difficult time dealing with social-media backlash to Married at First Sight's Season 5 episodes showing him not "really feeling" Shawniece at the beginning of the MAFS process.

"My head was just so messed up. I was reading the worst things about myself and I started to internalize that stuff... It was really hard. I never felt like that before and it was scary and I didn't know what to do," Jephte explained to Jessica.

Jephte then shared with Shawniece how he felt like he was "mentally drowning" and he was definitely in a state of depression in which he felt "weak" and "vulnerable."

Jephte said he didn't know how to communicate these feelings to his wife, and he also didn't want to upset her because her pregnancy was high-risk at the time. So Jephte thought separating himself from Shawniece was the best thing to do for their baby.

Jephte then broke down into tears, and Shawniece quickly teared up as well.

Dr. Jessica said she really liked this side of Jephte, but he and Shawniece needed to address their marital issues in order to move forward and provide a healthy environment for their child.

Shawniece insisted she always wanted to be there for Jephte and listen to him, but she also had to put herself first at times.

In a later scene, Shawniece also told Ashley and Danielle that she and Jephte had been "separated for a couple of months" and hadn't been "intimate for a long time."

She said they would wear their rings again once they learned to understand and depend on each other.

Married at First Sight: Happily Ever After's premiere concluded with a therapy session in which Jephte said he was trying to work things out with Shawniece for the right reasons -- because she is an amazing woman -- but they had "a lot of work to do."

Shawniece said she knew Jephte loved her for being the mother of his child, but she hoped he would come to love her just for being her.
