Married at First Sight star Mindy Shiben says it felt like Zach Justice was just spending time with her during the Season 10 experiment when he was obligated to for filming.

Mindy chose to end her Married at First Sight marriage to Zach prematurely, about two weeks before "Decision Day." One of the reasons behind her unsurprising decision was Zach's apparent lack of interest in and attraction to her from the start.

Not only did Zach allegedly avoid spending time with Mindy off-camera, but he even refused to move into an apartment with her following the Married at First Sight couple's honeymoon in Panama.

"It felt like he was just spending time with me when he was obligated to for the filming," Mindy told Fox News in a recent interview.

Mindy also eventually caught Zach lying about a "friendship" he had developed behind her back with Mindy's supposed best friend Lindsay -- a revelation and betrayal Mindy called "crushing."

Both Zach and Lindsay shared different stories with Mindy about the significance of their relationship and how often they spoke, and Mindy quickly came to the conclusion she was being lied to and neither Zach or Lindsay seemed innocent in the situation.

"I was quite frustrated trying to figure that out. There were text messages that were deleted and everything. So, you know, once I came to terms with what happened and everything, I just tried to look at the future and not dwell on that," Mindy explained.

"I will say that I've decided to choose my friends very wisely, and I only have wonderful people in my life right now."

Mindy and Zach appeared to have a perfect wedding day when Married at First Sight's Season 10 experiment began, but Mindy assured Fox News she felt a disconnect from Zach almost immediately afterwards.

"[Zach] just seemed to be kind of closed up to me. And he brought up the attraction thing many times and I became very frustrated that, in my eyes, he was using this lack of attraction to not open up and not get close to me," Mindy shared.

"So, I feel like I was putting in a lot more effort than him."

Since Zach and Mindy ended their marriage early, they didn't appear in several Married at First Sight Season 10 episodes.

However, the Married at First Sight couple did make an appearance on "Decision Day" to explain where they went wrong in a meeting with show experts Pastor Calvin Roberson, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, and Dr. Viviana Coles.

Although the Married at First Sight experts matched Mindy with Zach to begin with, the figure-skating coach apparently doesn't blame them for her failed marriage.

"I don't think that the matchmakers could have predicted his apprehension," Mindy reasoned.

"I don't think that the matchmakers missed the mark at all. I think that they really understood me very, very well."

Mindy said her journey on Married at First Sight taught her to stop wasting time on "trying to get somebody else to like me."

"I've realized my self-worth and that I am offering a lot," Mindy said.

As far as what she's looking for in a future partner, Mindy expressed how she wants "loyalty and commitment" as well as "honesty" and a man who wants to be her best friend.

Following her decision to split from Zach, Mindy threw a divorce party for herself, and she gushed about how she had found an inner strength she never knew existed through her tumultuous relationship.

"I actually requested a divorce party, that was completely my idea," Mindy told Fox News.

"[The season] was an emotional roller coaster for me, for sure. I [wanted to] just blow off some steam after really going through such a hard time with Zach."

Married at First Sight stars Taylor Dunklin and Meka Jones also chose to get divorced from their husbands Brandon Reid and Michael Watson, respectively, but two couples opted to stay married: Katie Conrad and Derek Sherman as well as Jessica Studer and Austin Hurd.

Married at First Sight airs its tenth-season reunion special on Wednesday, April 22 on Lifetime.
