Married at First Sight star Meka Jones has revealed the ex-girlfriend Michael Watson "emotionally cheated" on is the person who nominated him to be on the show's tenth season and he continued to have a relationship with her after he married Meka.

When asked about Michael's personal disclosure, Meka said on Unfiltered, "I think for me, it just makes me proceed with caution."
"Because I have been cheated on, so when I hear somebody has cheated, I automatically think to put my guard up just because whether it's emotional or not, it's all still cheating," Meka shared.
"So I think for me, I'm just a little more guarded than I would have been."
Unfiltered host Jamie Otis asked how the topic of emotional cheating came up within the first 24 hours of Meka and Michael being married.
"You know obviously the question comes up of, 'Why did you do this [show]?' [Michael] said, 'Oh, well my ex nominated me.' And I'm like, 'Okayyy,'" Meka revealed.
"What?!" Jamie exclaimed in disbelief.
"[I thought], 'You're in a situation where she's filling out a questionnaire for you to be married at first sight? So what is the nature of that relationship? So that I know for myself,'" Meka recalled.
Meka said that topic organically transitioned into how Michael had emotionally cheated on a woman in the past.
"We talked about trust issues and it was a deep conversation about past relationships and what our marriage would look like," Meka said.

Married at First Sight's Season 10 brides Mindy Shiben and Jessica Studer joined Meka on Unfiltered and offered their thoughts on the subject.
"I guess I would want more details," Jessica noted. "But to me, I mean, I would feel like that is cheating too."
But Jessica said good for Michael for "being transparent" and "open and honest" with Meka about it.
"To me, it's really kind of ballsy that he brought that up during the [in-laws] brunch," Mindy added of Michael.
"I mean, I'd say so too," Jamie pointed out.
Mindy then asked Meka what all the women were probably thinking -- was Michael's ex-girlfriend still in his life at the time of the wedding?!
"They told me they have a pretty good relationship," Meka shared in reply.
"Ohh, that's something I would want to know," Mindy said, as all of the women reacted strongly to the news and spoke at once.

"It was the ex that he had cheated on? The ex that had then signed him up for the show? Jessica questioned.
"Yeah," Meka responded.
"Or like emotionally cheated?" Jessica asked.
"Mhmm, Meka replied.
Mindy didn't like what she was hearing, suggesting she wouldn't want to be in Meka's shoes.
"If he's still close to [his ex], that's like leaving himself open for more emotional cheating," Mindy noted.
"Yeah, that's what I'm thinking!" Jessica said.
"He kind of needs to push that somewhere else and focus on his marriage," Mindy insisted.
"[That should] come to an end," Jamie agreed, as Meka laughed.
Meka and Michael's marriage has been struggling on Season 10 of Married at First Sight, which premiered on January 1. Things fell apart shortly after their wedding, which was a dream come true for both spouses.
Meka alleged Michael had attempted to put a time limit on consummating their marriage while flying to their honeymoon in Panama.

"I'm pissed because on the plane, we had a conversation and Michael literally gave me an ultimatum and said if we don't have sex on our honeymoon then he won't want to be in this marriage," Meka told the cameras.
Meka later confronted Michael and accused him of being a different person -- one who's not patient or authentic -- when camera's weren't rolling.
Michael didn't confirm or deny what he had said to Meka on the plane, but he argued he was just trying to gauge Meka's expectations for intimacy while laying his out there in a direct manner in order to avoid future confusion or problems.
The pair didn't reach a resolution, and so their tense conversation resulted in the partners sleeping in different hotel rooms during the first night of their honeymoon.
In the latest episode of Married at First Sight, Pastor Calvin Roberson advised Meka and Michael to continue working on their marriage and getting to know each other better as friends first.
Both spouses agreed to give it a try, but they stopped wearing their wedding rings and Meka admittedly remained very uncomfortable around her new husband.
Married at First Sight's currently-airing season also stars Jessica's husband Austin Hurd and Mindy's husband Zach Justice as well as Taylor Dunklin and Brandon Reid and Katie Conrad and Derek Sherman.
