Married at First Sight star Lindsey Georgoulis has revealed why she claims she repeatedly gets so upset with Mark Maher.

Mark, 37, and Lindsey, 34, have had a tumultuous relationship since tying the knot as total strangers on Season 14 of Married at First Sight. The spouses have struggled with poor communication, Lindsey's hot temper, and Mark's alleged lack of effort in the marriage.

During the April 20 episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty, Lindsey watched back a Season 14 clip of herself reading a letter to Mark, a letter she had written to her younger self.

"Dear Lindsey, most of your young life, you'll stand out. People will tell you you're 'too much,' and you'll always feel out of place," Lindsey reads to Mark in the clip.

"As you get older, you'll find freedom in your voice and power. One day, the life you live will be more than you've ever hoped for."

Mark replies, "It's great. I think your younger self would really appreciate that note, and I think they would look at you like a role model."

"Thank you," Lindsey says.

"I think your younger self needed someone like you," Mark insists.

Lindsey acknowledged on Afterparty how Mark's reaction to hearing her letter was "very sweet and tender," which created "a nice moment" in which Lindsey finally felt "heard" and "understood."

Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam asked Lindsey what she hoped Mike would learn about her from that letter.

"Stop saying, 'You're too much!'" Lindsey immediately responded. "That doesn't make me feel good. I told him that on Day 1 and it continued, and that's why I get so upset!"

Lindsey continued, "I was like, 'You know that's something that bothers me! So stop it! Enough is enough.'"

Lindsey complained on last week's episode of Married at First Sight's fourteenth season how Mark always said she was "too much" in their relationship -- too loving, too giving, too caring, too energetic.

Mark was caught telling Lindsey on-camera the previous night that she was "too much" in regards to her pinching him, licking his ears and being hyper all the time. Mark admitted that he didn't find that behavior fun or enjoyable.

"It makes me realize that he should find a lesser woman, because I don't want to make myself any less for someone else," Lindsey lamented in a confessional.

Dr. Pepper then visited Mark and Lindsey at their apartment with a week-and-a-half remaining until "Decision Day."

"It's hard for me to be overly affectionate if we have difficult arguments that drain me. When we were in Vermont, I used the word 'hyper' and it triggered her," Mark told the expert.

"I would never know that. So I feel bad but I get frustrated, because I don't know all the words that trigger [Lindsey] to feel that way."

Pepper noted how hyper is not a compliment but Lindsey also needed to stop poking and prodding Mark when he asked her to.

Lindsey said she thought Mark was joking when he asked her to stop and he always "made justifications" for his behavior.

"You apologize and we resolve, but nothing is ever resolved. You walk away and you dismiss me," Lindsey vented.

"I'm at the point where if you don't want to care, then I don't want to care more. And I don't care! I'm not going to let you hurt me, no more. You don't get to come in anymore. The wall is up, you're out."

Pepper advised Lindsey to ask Mark if he didn't care, and Lindsey replied that she didn't even want to hear his answer.

"Because I'm not sure this is the right guy for me," Lindsey confessed.

Mark, however, assured his wife that he cared about her and had never done anything deliberately to hurt her.

Pepper therefore asked Mark to pay Lindsey more attention because then some of her annoying behaviors would diminish, and she asked Lindsey to reduce the pressure and let Mark come to her sometimes.

But Lindsey vented about how she wanted a man to have fun with, someone who will be "dynamic" and embrace her and lean into her.

Mark insisted he knows how to love someone and be romantic but Lindsey also needed to give him what he needed so that he could touch her heart.

But Lindsey and Mark turned a corner when Lindsey supported Mark through a difficult time, when Mark had decided to put his senior cat to sleep to end the animal's suffering.

"I'm glad Lindsey is here to be supportive of me, and it's one of those events that when a couple goes through a tragedy, it can really shape a bond. So I'm glad we went through this together, and it's one of those things I won't forget," Mark said.

The couple also peeled back layers and learned more about each other when visiting their childhood homes.

"Where we align is so deep and connected that it's a gift I don't think many other people are able to have," Lindsey told the cameras of her marriage.

Married at First Sight, which currently airs on Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime, also stars Olajuwon Dickerson and Katina Goode, Michael Morency and Jasmina Outar, and Steve Moy and Noi Phommasak.

The season also starred Alyssa Ellman and Chris Collette, but the pair chose to divorce only one week into the extreme experiment.
