Married at First Sight star Jose has admitted he and Rachel are on totally different pages with their spending and he was definitely worried about her hoarding habits before moving in together.

Married at First Sight's thirteenth season has shown Jose and Rachel getting along flawlessly, with the two of them having a mutual respect, admiration and attraction for one another.

But Rachel has made it known she's an independent girl who wants her own bank account and to contribute to household expenses, and Jose has been trying to accept Rachel's opposition to traditional gender roles and wrap his head around not the idea of not being the male provider and caretaker in their relationship.

During the August 25 episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Jose also addressed the couple's finances and how Rachel is more of a spender while he's a saver.

Jose watched back a Season 13 clip of Rachel saying she'd love to travel as a couple and explore different countries such as Switzerland.

"I think the biggest thing that comes to mind is it's a lot of money, because I still want us to continue to learn and grow and travel together. But then again, if we have kids, we want to do that in a state... like Las Vegas or New York, where it would be a little bit less [preparation]," Jose explains in the clip.

Unfiltered host Jamie Otis -- who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight and is still married to her match, Doug Heher -- asked Jose to share his thoughts on that tense footage.

"My thought at that current moment is, 'Yes, let's play and have a good time. I'm all about it.' But at the same time as well, I'm just thinking, 'Hey, strategically you have kids in the mix and X, Y, and Z," Jose explained.

"So we're definitely on two different pages from a finance perspective, for sure."

Jose's Married at First Sight co-star Johnny also appeared on Unfiltered and joked about how it sounded like Jose wants to take his wife on a trip to Dallas. (Jose and Rachel both live in the Houston, TX, area).

"No, man, like skiing! I enjoy skiing, so you know, we can go skiing every year... or I've never really seen the Times Square Ball drop, so something like that," Jose explained of his idea of traveling.

Jose, however, said he planned to meet Rachel in the middle, as they were in a "building process" for their relationship.

"We're going to compromise and it's something that we'll work on within the marriage to figure out what the best option for us is," Jose said.

Jose shared how his saving habits stem from his childhood and watching his parents live paycheck to paycheck before getting involved with real estate.

"I didn't want this for myself. I saw the struggle and knew that I didn't want to be there," Jose revealed.

Another point of contention in Jose and Rachel's relationship was Rachel's revelation that she tends to hoard things and live amongst clutter while Jose is a self-declared minimalist.

"[I'm thinking], 'What did I just get myself into?'" Jose admitted.

"For real?" Jamie asked.

"No not really," Jose clarified.

"Again, this is what happens when you bring two strangers together. You have your different ways of living, and once that honeymoon phase wears off and we actually get settled together, then it's going to be something that I'm going to have to help her kind of deviate from that hoarding tendency that she has."

Johnny -- who married Bao on the Lifetime series -- agreed there is a honeymoon phase for most couples and he was "nervous" to return to the real world in Houston when the couples are no longer in a paradise, stress-free type of environment.

"When we go back, are we going to have arguments and then have to go back to work and there's no, like, fun stuff to counteract it? I don't know," Johnny admitted.

The only other thing Rachel and Jose were struggling with during their honeymoon was Rachel's concern about the fact they hadn't consummated their marriage yet.

Rachel and Jose agreed intimacy is important, so Rachel said she feared not being sexually compatible or having that kind of chemistry once they decide to have sex.

Jose explained that he needs boxes checked from an emotional and mental standpoint before having sex with a woman.

"I'm so glad we're married," Rachel concluded in a recent episode. "It just keeps getting better and better. I definitely think we're headed in the right direction. But I'm still like, 'We have to live together,' and I have a lot of pride in my independence."

In addition to Jose and Johnny and their wives, Married at First Sight's thirteenth season, which currently airs Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime, also stars Myrla Feria and Gil Cuero, Michaela and Zack, and Brett and Ryan.
