Married at First Sight star Jessica Studer admits she couldn't help but question Austin Hurd's motivation for tying the knot with a stranger on the Lifetime series given it's such a risky thing to do.

Jessica and two of her fellow Married at First Sight tenth-season brides, Mindy Shiben and Meka Jones, appeared on the January 29 episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered and discussed some of their concerns heading into this extreme experiment.

"Is there anything that you're questioning about your husband's motivations for doing this experiment?" Unfiltered host Jamie Otis asked Jessica.

"For me, I'm still like, 'Why did Austin,' or like, 'Why would any guy sign up for this?' Just the idea that it's crazy," Jessica said.

"I was the same way," agreed Jamie, who wed Doug Hehner on Season 1 of Married at First Sight and is still happily married today. "I was like, 'I get why I did this, but why did you do this?!'"

The girls all laughed and Jessica added, "Yeah, like, 'Why are you on the show?!'"

Jessica shared she was initially skeptical of Austin's intentions after she, Meka and Mindy watched back a Season 10 clip in which one of Mindy's bridesmaids asked Zach Justice if he had signed up for the show to boost his personal training and modeling career.

Zach insisted he was on the show for love and would take care of Mindy's heart, but Mindy's bridesmaids weren't entirely convinced.

In fact, the girls wondered why Zach wouldn't just date or marry one of the attractive women he probably worked with every day.

"It kind of makes me question and be a bit more skeptical myself," Mindy explained of that conversation Zach had with one of her best friends.

"I did just marry a stranger and I don't know really his intentions or his -- I really don't know him yet."

After Meka watched back that clip of Zach getting grilled, she shared, "I think when you're wanting to get married, there are sometimes concerns that you don't think about because you're in it and you're, like, so on Cloud 9."

Meka said the wedding day was simply exciting because the participants had "waited all this time" to finally meet their spouses.

"You just want to be happy and in love, so having somebody who can be logical and say, 'Let's get to the nitty-gritty and let's see why you're really here,' I think we all need somebody like that," Meka explained.

"So I definitely enjoyed watching that [clip]."

Mindy acknowledged that was "perfect" and "well said" of Meka, who married Michael Watson on Married at First Sight this season.

When asked whether she was confident Michael was "in it for the right reasons," Meka apparently wasn't so sure.

"You know, coming into this, that was one of my biggest concerns -- was that I know I'm coming into this because I want my forever person, so how do I know he's coming in for the right reasons?" Meka questioned.

Although Mindy admitted her bridesmaids brought her back "down to earth a little bit," she remained "very, very hopeful" her marriage would work out and Zach would turn out to be the guy of her dreams.

"Like, wedding day is very much, like, 'This is perfect! This is perfect,' and then now it's like, 'Okay, this is real life. This isn't just a fairy tale. I do really need to find out what this person is about,'" Mindy reasoned.

Married at First Sight's recent episodes have shown Jessica and Austin getting along fabulously, just like Katie Conrad and Derek Sherman, while the other three couples have experienced some major bumps in the road.

Zach, for instance, told Mindy several times he wasn't physically attracted to her, and Meka accused Michael of giving her an off-camera ultimatum that they needed to sleep together during their honeymoon in Panama or else he'd want out of their marriage.

In the latest episode of Season 10, Jessica and Austin revealed their connection was growing and they had consummated their marriage during their honeymoon.

Married at First Sight, which also stars Taylor Dunklin and Brandon Reid, currently airs on Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime.
