Married at First Sight star Jamie Thompson believes Elizabeth Bice would've divorced him had he behaved like Matthew Gwynne, who chose not to return home to Amber Bowles one night and didn't even contact her in 24 hours.

Jamie, Amber and their Married at First Sight co-star Iris Caldwell all appeared on Wednesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, and the trio watched back a clip from Season 9 in which Matt never came home one night and ignored all of Amber's calls and text messages.

"I didn't sleep. I lied awake wondering, 'What's wrong with me? Why didn't he come home? Why doesn't he care about me? Why doesn't he respect me? What's wrong with me?' And I shouldn't have felt like that, but that's how I felt," Amber admitted.

"The way he talks to me, it feels like he does like me. But his actions don't match up with the words."

Jamie said that if he treated Elizabeth the same way Matt had treated Amber, Elizabeth probably would have thrown in the towel.

"I think she would be pretty upset," Jamie said of his Married at First Sight wife, "and knowing her and her passion, she would probably call the marriage off."

Iris agreed the situation made her furious, especially seeing how upset Amber was in that moment.

"I am hot! I am so pissed off!" Iris said after watching the clip of Matt and Amber.

"That is one of the most disrespectful things you can ever do in a marriage, and that is truly because, like, you want to be a part of this process to be married. Someone who has the audacity to make someone feel like that, I can't deal with it."

Amber, however, said she'd be willing to move on from the incident if Matt managed to say the right things.

"I think if Matt tries to see my side, apologizes, and then says, 'Hey, this won't happen again,' I might be able to forgive him. But for me, this just feels so disrespectful and I would never do this to someone," Amber shared on Unfiltered.

As shown in the latest Married at First Sight episode, Amber did ultimately choose to forgive Matt and continue their marriage.

Matt had been used to traveling often for basketball, crashing on friends' couches, and not having to answer to or touch base with anyone, so he explained to Amber he was still getting used to the responsibilities of being a husband and putting someone else's happiness first.

Matt apologized and promised to become a better man, but the couple clearly has some serious work to do in repairing their relationship and building trust going forward.

Amber, however, apparently has faith they'll be able to do just that.

"I like him a lot considering the amount of time I've gotten to know him. I thought there was a spark and a connection, and he told me that he felt that too, so it's just confusing to me and I hope with all my heart this changes," Amber confessed.

"I feel like it's going to be a mountain that has to move, but mountains have moved, so I'm just hoping this one does."

In addition to Amber, Matt, Jamie, Elizabeth, and Iris, Married at First Sight's currently-airing ninth season on Lifetime also stars Iris' husband Keith Manley as well as Deonna McNeill and Gregory Okotie.
