Married at First Sight star Henry Rodriguez says he felt Christina's response to him opening up about his insecurities was more "judgy" and "critical" than he had hoped.

Henry, a 35-year-old clinical recruiter from Arabi, LA, and Christina, a 30-year-old flight attendant from Houma, LA, were matched by Married at First Sight experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Dr. Viviana Coles and Pastor Calvin Roberson to wed on Season 11 of the Lifetime reality series.

During Wednesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Henry watched back a Season 11 clip in which he admitted to Christina during an exercise while blindfolded that he tends to be very critical of himself.

"A lot of it comes from when I was younger and heavier. I think I am not a very confident person because of it," Henry told his wife.

"Alright. I think it's important to have these discussions and to get over it, especially as your wife, that's troubling and it's something that I feel like I can help you get over," Christina responded.

On Unfiltered, host Jamie Otis, who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight, asked Henry what it was like watching that footage back.

"Do you wish that [Christina] had reacted differently to what you were saying?" Jamie asked.

"Yeah, I mean, I guess. Her response seemed a little more critical," Henry explained.

"Maybe she didn't mean for it to come across like that. I was hoping it would be a little more supportive. I had a blindfold on, so it's weird to see it like that. But she looked a little, kind of, judgy a little bit. But you know, I guess everybody takes things differently."

Jamie then brought Henry's Married at First Sight co-star Woody Randall into the conversation, and Woody shared his perspective on Christina's response to Henry's insecurities and lack of confidence.

"I think in that moment, he was really being honest and he was being himself and saying kind of his truth," Woody observed.

"He kind of wanted to say more, but I think in that moment, she kind of did judge him and I think it made him kind of shut down."

Married at First Sight star Karen Landry also joined Henry and Woody on Unfiltered.

"Karen, how would you react if Miles told you to just 'get over' something you're insecure about?" Jamie asked.

"I definitely think that there's a different way that that could be said. I would like to point out she did say that she thought that it was something she could help him get over," Karen shared.

"So it's like, I don't think all of her intentions were bad. But I do think in a moment when you're sharing something that intimate, initially that first reaction also carries a lot of weight. So I can see a little bit of both sides."

Although Henry didn't receive the response he had wanted from Christina when opening up to her, he did admit the blindfold exercise still helped his relationship a little bit.

"Yeah, I mean, they were questions that are supposed to help us get beyond surface-level conversations," Henry said.

"And I think no matter what the response is or the reaction, I think that's all part of it. It's all about getting to know one another and how we tackle certain things. And yeah, I definitely think it helped."

Christina learned impatience was Henry's dealbreaker after he had been complaining for weeks Christina had the tendency to be impatient in their relationship and rude to production.

When Henry blindfolded himself in attempt to be more vulnerable with his wife during an exercise, Christina admitted a lack of confidence is her dealbreaker -- right after Henry essentially confessed he has low self-esteem.

Henry wasn't sure whether Christina was being passive aggressive or unintentionally apathetic with that comment.

Christina, an adventurous flight attendant, and Henry, a quiet and reserved gentleman who had never left the United States, found themselves trying to force a connection after their wedding, and Christina has been shown begging Henry to talk to her, open up, and initiate physical intimacy to progress their relationship.

When the pair met with Pastor Cal in a recent episode for a counseling session, Henry admitted his past relationships moved faster because "a certain type of chemistry just existed."

Pastor Cal told Henry that sassy Christina has some "fire in her gut" and "a little diva to her" that he could benefit from, but Henry said he needed Christina to change her attitude and irritability.

"We have a lot of differences, like, the way we live," Henry told the cameras, adding, "I don't know [if I can get over that], but I'm willing to try, even though it doesn't seem like it."

As Christina slowly proved she could be more patient, Henry revealed he was finally starting to feel chemistry with his wife and could see "a lot of potential" between them.

Dr. Viviana therefore asked the couple to express themselves both physically and emotionally whenever possible. Viviana didn't want to see the couple get stuck in the friendzone or be passive with one another, so she asked both of them not to hold back.

But in the latest episode, Christina expressed fear it was too late for her marriage and Henry might only view her like a friend. She, as a result, decided to stop comparing Henry to her past boyfriends and just come to like him for who he is.
