Married at First Sight alum Elizabeth Bice believes Haley Harris didn't really try in her marriage to Jacob Harder and that's why they seemed to be in a bad place heading into Decision Day.

Season 9 MAFS couple Elizabeth and her husband Jamie Thompson appeared on the May 5 Married at First Sight: Countdown to Decision Day special alongside Season 11 couples Amani Rashid-Smith and Woody Randall as well as Karen Landry and Miles Williams.

In the process of making predictions and sizing up Married at First Sight's Season 12 couples -- who will face Decision Day on the upcoming May 12 episode on Lifetime -- Elizabeth seemed to have a different opinion of Haley and Jacob's relationship than the other two couples.

Woody started out the discussion by calling Haley and Jacob "the most interesting couple" of Season 12, and Karen added, "Hashtag awkward."

"Jacob is the underdog here!" Elizabeth announced. "I just didn't feel like Haley fully tried. That's how I feel about it. Like, I still don't know who this girl is."

Elizabeth continued, "She was just very stone cold, like, the whole time! As much as we want to rag on Jacob for his monotone [voice] and his lack of emotions, she's right there with him -- and she's no better than he is."

But Miles argued Jacob's monotone voice, neon-decorated 1980s house, and high expectations early in the process didn't help the situation.

Elizabeth countered, "Listen to all the things you just listed about Jacob that you know! Well, what can you say about Haley right now?! What does she got?! I don't know anything about her!"

"I don't know anything," Jamie agreed.

"I can feel that," Woody said.

"I'll give you that," Miles responded.

"We know [Jacob]'s red flags but we don't know hers," Woody added.

However, Amani, Miles and Woody seemed to think the majority of Haley and Jacob's issues stemmed from Jacob's side of things.

"He just doesn't seem to be having a good time," Amani pointed out.

"It's something different," Miles began. "He's projecting his insecurities from his past relationships onto this woman."

"When I saw them come back from Vegas," Miles continued, "I was like, 'You know what? Jacob has got some issues that he's got to work through before he's ready to be in a relationship with somebody.'"

Miles added that Jacob seemingly expected his marriage to be great right from the get-go and so he "set these high expectations of what marriage is going to be" that Haley couldn't realistically live up to.

"I feel like ultimately it's going to be to their downfall or detriment," Miles concluded.

Woody mentioned how the couple also seemed to have huge communication issues.

"From the very beginning, their first conversation, Haley doesn't even know how to talk to [Jacob]," Woody acknowledged. "His tone has not changed -- when he's angry, when he's happy, when he's sad. It's literally the exact same."

Woody joked, "Honestly, when they said they had sex, bro, I couldn't even believe it! Bro, I don't even know how the sex happened! I just don't understand how it happened!"

Elizabeth reminded the couples how Jacob and Haley were in Las Vegas at the time for their honeymoon -- likely alluding to the famous phrase "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" -- but Woody still had trouble wrapping his mind around the concept.

"They had sex, right? They came back from Vegas and were completely disconnected," Woody said.

"So my thought is whatever happened in that sex completely caused the complete disconnection."

As Woody spoke, Elizabeth clapped her hands in agreeance.

"I find that hard to come back from," Woody noted.

Miles echoed the sentiment and suggested Jacob and Haley should have felt more connected to each other after sex, and since they didn't grow closer, there was probably no coming back from that.

Karen subsequently chimed in, "I just don't think the chemistry is there -- that they are two different people. And unfortunately, it's not something you can force. So I just think it's one of those matches where it looks good on paper, but when we're here in person, it's not clicking."

In regards to whether Haley and Jacob will choose to stay married or get a divorce on "Decision Day" following a tumultuous ride, Jamie suggested that Jacob seemed "checked out" and "not in it."

"I don't think Jacob sees any hope," Jamie noted.

Elizabeth could tell Haley didn't want to give up on her marriage, but she said, "I think Jacob is the type of person that when he makes his mind up, he makes his mind up."

Miles said it would probably be best for both spouses to just say "no" to staying married, but Woody admitted he "wouldn't be surprised" if one or both people said "yes" in the end.

"The thing about Married at First Sight is just you never know!" Miles said with a laugh.

During the latest twelfth-season episode of Married at First Sight, Haley mentioned how Jacob is a good guy overall and things could still change for the better if Jacob would be willing to come out of his shell.

And Jacob was considering a future with Haley post-Decision Day, which was rapidly approaching.

"I wanted somebody who was independent and strong-willed, so she is all of those things," Jacob shared in a confessional of his wife.

"I think she's a good person and I think she went into this for the right reasons, so maybe we need to give things more time and we could potentially develop something good from here."

Jacob also told the cameras a divorce would be "daunting" and so he'd prefer to just work things out with Haley.

Married at First Sight's currently-airing season also stars Erik Lake and Virginia Coombs, Ryan Oubre and Clara Berghaus, Briana Myles and Vincent Morales, and Paige Banks and Chris Williams.

Paige and Chris chose to end their marriage and pursue a divorce shortly before their one-month anniversary, but based on a preview for the upcoming episode, fans may be in for a big surprise on Decision Day.
