The couples starring on this season are Christina, a 30-year-old flight attendant from Houma, LA, and Henry, a 35-year-old clinical recruiter from Arabi, LA; Karen, a 30-year-old consultant from New Orleans, LA, and Miles, a 26-year-old who works with youth from Spartanburg, SC; and Amani, a 29-year-old non-profit worker who was raised in Chicago, IL, and Woody Randall, a 30-year-old teacher and coach from New Orleans.

The other couples are Amelia, a 27-year-old medical resident from Richmond, VA, and Bennett, a 28-year-old artistic director from Montvale, NJ, as well as Brett, a 35-year-old with a career in information technology from Gretna, LA, and Olivia, a 30-year-old nurse from Bossier City, LA.

The Married at First Sight broadcast began on Day 21 of marriage, with Christina admitting marriage wasn't the whirlwind romance or fairy tale she had been anticipating.

Christina and Henry, for example, learned how to fold towels together, but Christina said it was cool to develop a routine with and get to know her husband.

"Every day, I see something new about Henry that makes him more and more adorable," Christina shared.

Amelia acknowledged Bennett was a stickler for chores and was more focused on cleaning and doing things the right away, and Bennett agreed he and his wife different on their views of "how to keep a home."

Bennett told Amelia that they should probably do their own laundry, but Amelia had already folded Bennett's underwear. Bennett considered himself "tidy" and Amelia "messy," admitting it was a challenge to take care of their apartment together.

However, Bennett tried to fix the problem by writing down chores and dividing them. Amelia was able to choose certain tasks, such as recycling or garbage duty, and Bennett also got to pick her preferred chores.

Amelia told the cameras once she started residency, she wouldn't have as much time to split up chores and do household tasks.

"I kind of thought that with me being, like, the working moneymaker, household duties would obviously be [Bennett's] responsibility," Amelia told the cameras.

Meanwhile, Olivia said marriage wasn't "normal" or "easy" for her. She had dreamed of being married and committed to someone, but she admitted, "Our day to day is definitely more complicated than I was ready for."

But Olivia was glad Brett pulled his own weight and didn't slack off around the house.

As for Miles and Karen's relationship, Karen chose not to come home the previous night and Miles admitted his anxiety was a little high. Karen said Miles had upset her with some of his comments, including writing "sex with my wife" on their calendar.

"We just had our first tiff, like, where is this sex talk coming from all of sudden?" Karen asked.

"It's making me question what his true intentions are or even just what type of person he is. Are you able to be that patient guy? What is the intent behind what you did?"

Miles explained he thought he and Karen had just been joking around sex, although he had communicated to her physical intimacy is important to him and he'd like to explore that part of their relationship at some point.

Miles hated the fact he had upset Karen because he said he really cared about her, but he decided to give her the space and time she needed.

"I don't know what the answer is after this, and I don't really know if we can move past it," Karen admitted.

Over at Amani and Woody's place, the pair discovered Woody likes to go to bed early and wake up at 6AM while Amani likes to stay up late and sleep in.

Amani then mentioned coronavirus and how people were going "crazy" and they couldn't even order hand sanitizer from the store. Woody compared COVID-19 to "a strong flu," saying the virus would probably be worse for people who smoke.

But at the time of filming, there was limited information and resources out there in regards to the spread of coronavirus.

Amani and Woody then had a serious talk about whether or not they'd be willing to spank their children as a punishment. Woody said he grew up with that being fine, but Amani wasn't okay with it.

"I need to make sure that we're on the same page about our future before I can feel comfortable falling in love with him," Amani reasoned. "Woody is not going to whoop our kids. That would cause me to want a divorce."

Brett was then shown taking Olivia rock climbing to include her in one of his hobbies. A date like this made Olivia feel "hopeful" because she had been hoping to grow with her husband and experience adventures and life together.

Brett supported Olivia while she attempted the task, and she was glad to see he could be so encouraging and kind to her. Olivia was starting to understand why she and Brett were matched.

"We're making large strides in the small things that we do, and that's making me optimistic about our future together," Olivia shared.

Later on, Karen and Miles reunited for a chat, and Karen explained she was "really, really upset" about their conversation in regards to intimacy. Karen said Miles' behavior had caught her off-guard, especially when he wrote "sex" on the calendar.

"I was really pissed off. I didn't sleep at all. I just didn't understand where that came from," Karen told her husband.

"Yes we're married and I obviously understand sex at some point is going to come up, but like, we just kissed, you know, for the first time a few days ago. I know for me, in that moment, I felt unsafe."

Karen said being Miles' wife didn't mean he automatically had access to her physically, and so she said she felt "disrespected" in her own home, where she's supposed to feel "safe and protected."

Karen told Miles that he had crossed a boundary and it shouldn't happen again. Karen asked Miles to be more attentive and considerate in his actions and words, and after listening intently, Miles responded, "I agree."

Miles apologized for making Karen feel uncomfortable and betraying her trust. Miles admitted his jokes were "too much" and he'd do whatever it takes to earn her trust back.

Karen appreciated Miles owning up to his mistake and said she'd be willing to work through it. And in the spirit of forgiving, Karen said she'd be willing to get a little bit closer to Miles physically to make him happy and address his needs.

On Day 22 of marriage, Olivia and Brett met up with Christina, Henry, Woody, and Amani for a crawfish meal and beers. The couples had nice conversation, and even Christina and Henry appeared happy and bonded after living together for quite some time.

Christina shared with the group that she actually liked Henry and it was cool to understand him better after playing golf with him, and Henry called Christina "sexy" while salsa dancing, which shocked Woody and made him really happy.

During the meal, Christina jokingly announced she was pregnant, which got some laughs from her Married at First Sight co-stars.

Meanwhile, Karen and Miles met up with Amelia and Bennett for some bocce ball. Bennett said the winner can kiss his or her spouse wherever he or she would like. While Karen admitted she's not a fan of PDA, she agreed to the terms in order to show Miles she was trying.

Bennett won and asked Amelia to kiss his belly button, and then Miles won and asked Karen to kiss his forehead. After Amelia snagged a kiss from Bennett on her elbow, Karen also asked Miles to kiss her nose after a round.

The competition ended with Bennett suggesting Miles and Karen should kiss on the lips, and the couple did as they were asked. Miles gushed about how getting so many kisses "felt good."

"I can tell that Karen is continuing to open up and grow, and hopefully I can continue to build that trust because having a wife means the world to me and she's a person I can see having in my life forever," Miles noted.

Amani was then shown talking to Henry in private about showing Christina affection, and Henry admitted he was "hung up" on that. Henry said Christina had been impatient and really rude with the production team, which had turned him off.

"The impatient thing is internally making me really frustrated," Henry said, adding that impatience is actually "a dealbreaker for him."

"For us to even have a shot, that has to dissolve itself," Henry admitted. "If that doesn't resolve itself, to be frank, there is zero percent chance of hope."

Amani was surprised by Henry's confession after the nice meal the group had, saying it was "deep" and "a lot" to take in.

Christina asked Amani how her conversation with Henry went, and Amani gently explained why Henry had been so standoffish. Amani shared how Henry viewed Christina as impatient, but Christina didn't think that was a good reason for her husband to not want to be physically close to her.

Christina said, "He doesn't communicate that to me," and then Amani noted, "He said that impatience is a dealbreaker for him... If someone is showing a sign of impatience, he checks out."

Christina called that "a cop out" and claimed Henry gave her mixed signals all the time. In fact, Christina alleged that Henry had called her patient earlier that day. Christina also didn't understand why Henry hadn't told her any of these things.

Christina wasn't sure whether Henry really liked her, saying Henry told her one thing but told other people another thing. Christina was frustrated and didn't know how to react, especially since she was trying to show her husband that she's patient.

Once the pair returned to their apartment, Christina asked Henry what he and Amani had talked about.

Henry said Amani gave him advice on the "impatience issue" and his differences from Christina, but he acknowledged Christina had gotten better over the last several days.

Henry confirmed impatience was a dealbreaker for him, but he assured Christina their relationship had gotten much better. Christina asked Henry to tell her these things rather than share them with other people, including the fact he thought she was sexy.

Christina said men talking badly behind her back was a problem in past relationships when the men acted fine to her face. She therefore asked Henry where they stood, and he replied,  "I think there are a lot of differences that pose challenges."

Henry told Christina they could overcome those issues though and he would like to try.

Christina wanted to prove Henry's words and actions were sincere. She worried Henry was just being nice to her in order to not look like "the bad guy."

"If you're just trying to not look like the assh-le on camera, I'll be an assh-le. I'll be the biggest f-cking assh-le you've ever seen in your entire life!" Christina insisted.

Christina asked Henry where their relationship was heading because she was afraid to get too invested in him if he was just going to leave her on "Decision Day."

Henry admitted the process was difficult for him, and Christina wished she knew what would make Henry comfortable around her and fall in love with her. Christina asked what she would need to "morph into" for Henry to want her.

"Do you even see a future with me?" Christina asked. "I need to know if you're not into me."

"If you're asking me to make a decision right now, like, no," Henry replied.

"Then why even stick around?" Christina asked.

"If I'm going to make my choice now, then I don't see the point of the process. We have a lot of differences, like, the way we live," Henry shared.

"Is that something you think you can get over?" Christina asked.

"I don't know, but I'm willing to try, even though it doesn't seem like it," Henry replied, adding that he wanted to give their marriage a shot and put some real effort into it.

Henry told the cameras that he wanted a life partner and wasn't going to run from Christina or give up on their relationship. Henry was apparently well aware a marriage takes hard work, but Christina asked Henry to stop dancing around things and communicate better.

Christina revealed a lack of communication is actually a dealbreaker for her, adding, "I don't think that's impatience; I think that's a basic human need."

"I agree," Henry responded. "I apologize."

Later that night, Karen cooked dinner for her husband after a fun day and they talked about their favorite colors, shoe sizes, birthmarks and other little details about each other. Miles thought Karen was fun to be around, and he said he got butterflies around her sometimes.

On Day 23 of marriage, Woody and Miles got haircuts together to discuss their marriages and give each other advice.

Woody revealed he had professed his love to Amani, and Miles was shocked and responded with, "What is happening?!" Woody said Amani didn't love him in return yet but she seemed to be on her way.

Miles told Woody that he admired his courage and it was the first time he had ever heard Woody tell a woman that he loved her. On his side of the coin, Miles said Karen would probably leave him if he said, "I love you."

Miles shared how Karen was taking things slow and he wasn't in love yet, but he aspired for his relationship to turn out like what Woody and Amani had.

Miles explained Karen was sweet, caring and fun -- but was afraid to get hurt again. Miles vented, however, that when he told Karen that he liked her, she would reply with something along the lines of, "Aww, thanks."

Miles said he could see himself spending the rest of his life with Karen but he needed to be very patient with her. Woody hoped Miles' relationship wasn't going to fall flat.

"I think if things didn't progress, that would be a concern," Miles admitted.

Woody realized he and Miles were on different paths in their marriages, and he told the cameras, "I just hope Miles isn't compromising so much that he is not getting what he needs out of his marriage to Karen... I think they've got a real disconnect somewhere."

Later on, Bennett was shown doing a nice gesture for Amelia because she had taken such good care of him when he was sick. Bennett decided to cook Amelia dinner and invite two of his friends over to the couple's apartment to perform music for his wife.

"I've reached a place where I really adore her, and I want her to know that she's appreciated and admired," Bennett said.

Amelia loved the music and got chills from the music, and Bennett gushed about having such a great time in his marriage. He said it filled him with joy to be on the giving -- as well as the receiving -- side of a relationship.

"On the spectrum of strangers to falling madly and deeply in love with each other, I feel warm and gooey, like I'm close to my melting point with Amelia," Bennett disclosed.

Meanwhile, Karen brought Miles to a romantic couples' therapy or meditation session. Karen was asked to massage Miles' feet and back and stretch his legs, and he enjoyed her physical touch and their connection.

"I want to be able to do things to make him feel special. I'm definitely attracted to Miles and I do want to have physical intimacy with my husband," Karen revealed.

Miles definitely thought the experience was a move in the right direction for their relationship, and he thanked Karen for the gesture.

Olivia took Brett to a "Trivia Night" at a bar with her friends because she believed Brett is full of knowledge and would have fun, but Brett didn't know the answers to any of the questions and didn't really participate or help.

In fact, Brett complained it wasn't "real trivia" and was caught yawning from boredom at points, and Olivia said she got "annoyed" and "frustrated" with her husband.

"The fact Brett's not trying makes me feel like he doesn't care," Olivia said.

Olivia was upset Brett wasn't connecting or trying to connect with her family and friends, and she was disappointed because she wanted a husband who would join her in activities and want to be a part of the community with her.

One of Olivia's friends even advised Olivia not to give up some of her passions just to please Brett.

On Day 24 of marriage, Amelia and Bennett went for a bike ride while holding hands. Bennett said they always had a good time together and were "perpetually in a honeymoon phase."

Bennett asked Amelia to reveal something that annoyed her about him, but she couldn't think of anything and so Bennett gave her a lot of examples. On the other hand, Bennett said he didn't like how Amelia didn't clean the outside of glasses.

Bennett was actually a little concerned Amelia didn't have any pet peeves, and he said, "Is she unconditionally enamored?" Some of Bennett's previous relationships had failed because he was in love with the idea of love and put the women on pedestals.

That night, Woody took Amani out for a date night at a seafood restaurant, and he complimented his wife on looking beautiful. Woody asked Amani if she felt pressure to love him because he had fallen in love with her, and Amani said, "Yes and no."

Amani said Woody moved faster than her in relationships and she didn't want him to fall out of love with her. Amani said Woody's feelings for her made her question herself and if her feelings were accurate.

The episode ended with Henry and Christina playing a game of questions in order to bond and communicate better.

Henry promised to treat Christina with respect and try to be more open with her, and Christina said she wanted to be married to a good person and Henry seemed to be a good person.

Henry told Christina that he was finally feeling chemistry with her, and Christina was thrilled her husband's walls were slowly starting to come down. Christina said she liked the person who she was seeing and they could be "unstoppable" if they kept at it.

"I do feel like there is a lot of potential there," Henry said.
