After a couple of love triangles unfolded and some hurt feelings, Married at First Sight: Honeymoon Island features five couples blossoming and deepening their connections.

Eric Acosta, a 31-year-old entrepreneur and son of a diplomat from Denver, CO, paired up with Katie Muller, a 28-year-old in digital advertising from Denver, CO.

Isabella McKenzie, a 25-year-old hostess from Atlanta, GA, matched herself with Tyler Moody, a 26-year-old construction company owner from Greeley, CO.

Brandin Brosh, a 28-year-old clothing boutique owner from Biloxi, MS, set her eyes on Jona Bienko, a 35-year-old auto broker from Como, CO.

Shannon Raddler, a 33-year-old pharmaceutical sales representative from Atlanta, GA, was interested in pursuing Kimber Gardner, a 28-year-old medical sales representative from Las Vegas, NV.

And finally, Jada Rashawn, a 27-year-old professional nanny placement specialist and brand spokesperson from San Antonio, TX, became a couple with Chris Perry, a 29-year-old musician, personal trainer and youth counselor from Binghamton, NY.

The Honeymoon Island broadcast began where last week's episode had left off, with the sudden and unexpected return of Jocelyn, who attempted to win Chris' heart from Jada.

Jada thought Chris was attractive and sweet, but she worried he was "a bit of a player" and may not change in three weeks.

Chris expressed to Jocelyn how he wasn't sure she was genuine about finding a lasting relationship because in the two days they got to know each other, she didn't even mention his daughter.

"You played me," Jocelyn said, who insisted Chris had told Jada the same things he had told her.

Chris didn't want that stereotype "stamped" on him, and he noted he had a mental connection with Jada other than just the physical.

"I'm not going to be in a relationship with Jocelyn. I'm not going to pursue that, and I hope Jocelyn being here isn't going to mess with my relationship with Jada. That's my main concern right now," Chris told the cameras.

Chris then told Jada he felt "100 percent confident" in their connection and their bond and he wasn't going anywhere. Jada therefore determined Chris was serious and sincere.

"I want us to continue to build commitment beyond Honeymoon Island because I want to get married and I'm not here for drama," Jada said in a confessional.

Jada and Chris decided to drop the Jocelyn topic and move forward as a united couple.

On Day 6, the five couples continued getting to know each other better in their "honeymoon suites."

The entire cast then took a trip to a waterfall at a local botanical garden. Shannon and Kimber realized they had a lot in common, including their similar professions in the medical field and mutual desire to travel.

Isabella and Tyler admitted to the group they had yet to share their first kiss, but Tyler said "love is in the air" and the moment seemed right by the waterfall.

Meanwhile, Brandin and Jona were also connecting deeper. Jona could envision Brandin as his future wife, and she opened up to him about Hurricane Katrina that devastated her former home and changed her life.

"Everything you know and everything that has always been your home is gone," Brandin said, before Jona noted she's "a tough woman" who made him feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable.

In turn, Jona revealed to Brandin he's extremely close to his father and they find it acceptable to kiss on the lips. Jona said he would want the same type of relationship with his son, but Brandin found this gesture "weird."

"I'm not much of a 'let's hold hands and always be all over each other' type of person," Brandin explained.

Dr. Jessica worried Jona's need for intimacy, touch and flirtation might clash with Brandin's approach to dating, and the pair's differences were really starting to show.

Every individual then shared his or her "love language" with his or her partner. Katie expressed how she needs physical touch and quality time, while Eric is all about physical touch as well.

Kimber said she feels most cared about when she is told she's cared about, and Shannon admitted small gestures can go a long way for him -- such as a woman taking some of his daily tasks off his plate just to help out.

Isabella and Tyler were physically and mentally attracted to each other, but Isabella wasn't ready to kiss him yet. However, she looked forward to that day she'd be ready.

As for Jada and Chris, Jada said she wasn't intimidated by Chris having a daughter and she loves children. Jada intended to make Chris' priorities her own, and he teared up during the conversation.

"He has a real soft side of him that he's not afraid to show," Jada said.

On Day 7, Brandin admitted to Jessica she was stressed, especially over the fact Jona was a lot more affectionate. Brandin said she was not good at being open and vulnerable but she had been in love before in college when she was in her early 20s.

Brandin even hated having intense conversations about her past and emotional state. The process was making her "anxious," mainly because she's "a very private person."

Brandin then revealed to Jessica that her ex had cheated on her, having sex with another woman in her own bed. Brandin thought keeping up her walls might prevent her from getting hurt like that again.

The following day, Kimber told the cameras she never felt like Shannon judged her or was critical of her, so she thought it was really great to not feel embarrassed or self-conscious.

Meanwhile, Tyler and Isabella went stand-up paddleboarding, and he opened up about his country roots, conservative background and wonderful childhood. Isabella, however, lived in a suburban neighborhood and was sheltered and overprotected.

The couple then discovered they had conflicting political views, but they realized a mature conversation could get them through any future problems.

Isabella and Tyler ended their conversation with a kiss, and while the positioning was awkward, she found him to be a great kisser.

Suddenly, while everyone was relaxing on the beach, Brandin's mother, Susan -- her best friend -- arrived in St. Lucia.

Jessica hoped Brandin would be able to talk through her fears and concerns with her mother so she could open up her heart to finding love again.

Jona was blown away by the premature meet and greet. Jona was nervous and sweating, and he didn't seem to appreciate how Brandin was hesitant to introduce her mother to him.

Susan acknowledged her daughter wanted to get married and have children, so she hoped Brandin would be able to embrace this process and commit herself to a man of interest.

After speaking with her mom one-on-one, Brandin decided to officially introduce Jona to her mother.

Susan seemed to like how Jona is excited to become a father in the near future, and Brandin realized she could get over the fact he kisses his dad on the lips.

Jona then revealed his parents divorced when he was eight or nine and it was "ugly" and then his mother died when he was 15 years old from leukemia.

Brandin was shocked because she had no idea about Jona's past. The story put into perspective why Jona was so close with his father, and then Brandin noted she was ready to embrace their relationship and allow it to grow.

Brandin was going to do everything in her power to let her guard down after hearing her mother's wisdom and advice. Susan also found Jona to be sweet, kind and genuine.

"I can see Jona as a son-in-law," Susan said in a confessional.
