Katina and Olajuwon -- who tied the knot on Married at First Sight's fourteenth season, which aired earlier this year -- took to Instagram on Friday, November 11 and posted a joint statement about how they're both single again.

"After one year of marriage and careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways," the couple wrote in a post, with the comments disabled.

"However, this was not an easy decision to make. We leave our marriage with enormous love and respect for each other. We only ask that, at this time, our privacy is respected."

The couple appears to have split in the last couple of months, unless they put up appearances for their fans.

On September 14, Olajuwon posted a music video featuring the couple embracing and having a date night to a song titled "Get You Home" by Chris Echols.

"People search their whole lives for this love you give me," Olajuwon captioned the video. "I truly appreciate God's daily blessing which he allows you to give me everyday! Dreams to Reality."

And the pair also gushed about their one-year anniversary in an August 1 posting on Instagram.

Olajuwon uploaded a series of pictures from a photo shoot with Katina set to "Why I Love You" by MAJOR. He tagged his wife in the post.

"Love is not about many days, months, or years you been together. Love is about how much you love each other every single day," Olajuwon wrote. "ï¸Happy Anniversary, 7/23/21."

Olajuwon and Katina's relationship was strong from the start on Married at First Sight's Spring 2022 season.

The strangers matched for matrimony by show experts had an immediate attraction and learned each other's wants and needs, but Katina had to step it up in the cooking and cleaning department in order to reach her husband's high expectations of his ideal wife.

Olajuwon admitted not having a wife who cooks well would be a huge sacrifice for him because "Katina doesn't have that skill... She can't cook."

And Katina confessed, "I told the experts I didn't want a passive man, but I think I got more than I bargained for."

Despite a couple of bumps in the road, including a big fight over Katina having an old dating app on her phone, Olajuwon and Katina appeared to be falling in love and in a great place heading into Decision Day.

During the April 20 episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty, Olajuwon said that if he and Katina got a divorce, it would be out of "care for Katina's own personal goals in life." She wanted to continue nursing school, and Olajuwon wasn't sure if she'd be ready to study, travel and have kids all at the same time.

But Katina determined on Decision Day their different timelines were not a dealbreaker for her, adding, "I want to stay married to you because I feel like our marriage needs more time than just the eight weeks."

In turn, Olajuwon said he loved the chemistry he had with his wife, and he gushed, "I love who you are as a person, I love to be around you, and your effort is what made me overlook all those things... There's no way I could ignore your effort."

Olajuwon therefore opted to remain married as well, saying he had a lot of respect for Katina.

After Decision Day, the pair consummated their marriage, and the reunion special featured Olajuwon sharing how watching himself back on Married at First Sight was very eye-opening and taught him how to become a better man.

Olajuwon proposed marriage to Katina with what appeared to be a diamond ring, and Katina cried tears of joy. Olajuwon also thanked his wife for having his back and not leaving him in light of backlash and criticism from show fans.

On the Married at First Sight: Where Are They Now? special for Season 14, Olajuwon and Katina were finding their new rhythm as spouses. They said they were actually spending too much time together, and so Olajuwon and Katina agreed to spend one night a week with their respective friends or family members.

Olajuwon gushed about being in love, and Katina was happy Olajuwon had come around to more of a 50/50 partnership.

In late May 2022, Olajuwon posted an Instagram slideshow of photos with Katina and captioned it, "The one who loves you will NEVER leave you, Even if there's hundred reason to give up, They will find one reason to hold on!"

Katina also sweetly wrote to her husband on Instagram around that same time, "I can't wait for what God has in store for us."

"Thank you for growing with me, building with me & loving me. I am so proud of the man you continue to strive to be. Thank you for not giving up on us, and showing up in this marriage every day," she added.

Married at First Sight is about to wrap up another season, with its "Where Are They Now?" special for Season 15 airing next week on Lifetime.
