Married at First Sight alum Myrla Feria has revealed what Gil Cuero allegedly did that caused her to end their marriage only a couple weeks after the MAFS couple chose to stay married on Decision Day.

Myrla, who married Gil on Season 13 of Married at First Sight, revealed she hasn't caught up with Gil at all since they broke up.

"After Decision Day, there were things that I found out about that he had lied about," Myrla told host Kevin Frazier on the Married at First Sight: Kickoff Special for Season 15 that aired Wednesday night on Lifetime.

"When somebody cannot afford to pay their first month's half of rent and you don't tell me, why blindside me like that on the day that we're moving in together?"

Myrla appeared on the special to provide her thoughts on Married at First Sight's new Season 15 couples, but Kevin also asked her what exactly Gil had lied about considering the Houston-based firefighter appears to make a good living.

"I don't care how much you make, Kevin, you don't manage your money well and you can't make rent," Myrla complained of Gil.

"We are 35 and 36 [years old]. We're not 22. I have never not paid rent on time in my life."

Myrla said the rent issue was a big part of why she decided to end her marriage to Gil, although there were "also a couple more things" that led to the demise of their relationship.

"To me, it was just the dishonesty," Myrla said, "and the fact that he didn't think there was anything wrong with that -- and he did not apologize. Like, really Gil?"

Myrla said misconceptions about her from Married at First Sight are that she's high maintenance and unwilling to compromise.

"I'm actually, like, a pretty chill person," Myrla insisted.

But Myrla has apparently moved on from Gil, and she's "actively dating" right now.

However, Myrla confirmed that she's not dating -- and never has dated -- Johnny Lam, a fellow MAFS Season 13 cast member whom Myrla became very close to after the show.

"Two people of the opposite sex can be friends. And, like, we're friends," Myrla shared of Johnny.

Myrla and Gil's Married at First Sight season aired in late 2021 on Lifetime.

Myrla said from the start of the experiment that she enjoys her lifestyle -- traveling internationally and buying nice purses and shoes -- and would never change her hobbies and spending habits for a man.

One of Gil's groomsmen called Myrla "high maintenance" at the wedding, but Myrla argued, "I'm not expecting anyone to provide me with anything. I do [it] for myself and provide for myself."

Gil preferred to eat at home and save money, and he hoped to spend less so they could buy a home and start a family faster. He was therefore concerned about Myrla's expectations and expensive wardrobe.

Myrla and Gil recognized they're very different people, and Myrla said during a November 2021 episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered how they are "complete opposites." She was always worried about their financial stability in the future.

On Decision Day for Season 13, Gil told Myrla that he loved her and the pair revealed they had finally consummated their marriage. Myrla and Gil agreed to stay married, and then after the show, the pair moved in together.

However, Gil allegedly not being able to pay his half of the rent must have been the major change or shift in their relationship once the cameras went away.

"Unfortunately since Decision Day, we have not been together," Gil announced at the reunion show, which aired in November 2021.

Gil said 14 days after Decision Day, Myrla decided that she didn't want to be with him anymore and he felt totally "blindsided" and rejected. At the time of their breakup, Gil was head over heels in love with Myrla.

Gil's disclosure came as a huge shock considering Myrla had cried to MAFS expert, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, during the experiment about how she had gotten everything she wanted and more in marriage.

Myrla said on the reunion show how she was never "in love" with Gil and she simply wasn't happy in her marriage.

Myrla also claimed she lacked chemistry with Gil and an attraction to him, and she pointed out how Gil's constant teasing of her -- when he'd call her "a Debbie Downer" or "a diva" -- wasn't easy to handle.

"I don't think there's an easy answer to [why I dumped him]. I think for me, it was a variety of things, right? I think for me, it was just acknowledging that we are so different. The things that I had said were non-negotiables were really important to me," Myrla said at the time.

Gil presumed Myrla had an issue with the money he made, and he argued how he will have an amazing pension and was making $100 more, every two weeks, than Myrla.

"We both decided we were going to stay together. I sold everything that I own. The only thing I kept was my blender, my clothes and my dog," Gil revealed. "For me, it came out of nowhere! She said, 'Hey, I don't find you attractive. I'm not happy.'"

During an appearance on Married at First Sight -- Decision Day: Dish Boston that aired in May 2022, Gil revealed he was still single but happened to be reading his DMs on Instagram from interested women. He said life was "good."
