Death Row Records founder Marion "Suge" Knight has been released from the Miami Beach hospital where he underwent surgery after being shot in the leg.

Police, meanwhile, say they are no closer to solving the shooting that happened in a crowded nightclub on the eve of MTV's Video Music Awards.
Knight, 40, was released late last week from the Mt. Sinai Medical Center, a spokesman told E! Online Tuesday. The spokesman said privacy laws prohibit the release of any further information.
Knight's bone in his right upper leg was shattered by a bullet fired by an unknown assailant during a star-studded party for rapper Kanye West at the tony Shore Club.
Police have said their investigation has been stymied by a lack of witnesses willing to come forward.
