Keya Morgan, a collector who discovered the film and brokered the purchase, said the 15 minutes of 16-millimeter footage was purchased by a businessman who does not intend to make it public, the New York Post reported Monday.
"He said he's just going to lock it up," Morgan said. "He said, 'I'm not going to make a Paris Hilton out of her. I'm not going to sell it, out of respect.'"
In the video, Monroe performs oral sex on a man whose face is never shown. Morgan said FBI documents show then-Director J. Edgar Hoover unsuccessfully tried to prove in the mid-1960s that the man on the film was either John F. Kennedy or Robert F. Kennedy.
Morgan said the film was given to the FBI by an informant in the 1960s and he gave the original to the FBI after making a copy. The copy was sold by his son to the New York man.
