Mariah Carey's 'Don't Forget About Us' tops Billboard singles chart

With her hit "Don't Forget About Us," Mariah Carey tied Elvis Presley by chalking up her 17th No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Carey and Presley have the second highest amount of No. 1 singles in the rock era and Carey is the only artist to twice lead the Hot 100 in 2005, Billboard said.
Chris Brown's "Run It!" fell to No. 2 after five weeks at the top of the Hot 100 but remained atop the Pop 100 chart, where Carey sat at No. 2.
Nelly's "Grillz" featuring Paul Wall, Ali and Gipp was No. 3 on the Hot 100, D4L's "Laffy Taffy" was No. 4, the Pussycat Dolls' "Stickwitu" held the No. 5 slot and Nickleback's "Photograph" dropped one spot from last week to No. 6.
No. 7 on the Hot 100 was Kanye West's "Gold Digger" featuring Jamie Foxx and Beyonce's "Check on It" featuring Slim Thug leaped from No. 18 to No. 8 this week.
The Top 10 was rounded out by Kelly Clarkson's "Because of You" at No. 9 and Juelz Santana's "There It Go! (The Whistle Song)" at No. 10.
