Margaret Cho developing new 'Mommy' sitcom for Fox

Comedian Margaret Cho is developing a comedy revolving around her mother for Fox and Regency Television.

The stand-up comedian is known for her humorous stories revolving around her mother and the sitcom "Mommy" will use those stories as a base, MediaWeek reported Thursday.

Cho will executive produce the show along with Susan Dickes of "Just Shoot Me," who is also writing the pilot.

Cho in 1994 was the first Asian American to star in her own sitcom, "All-American Girl" on ABC.
