James Taylor, 34, of Shrewsbury, said he enlisted the help of the Ledyard casino's IT department to display a proposal to his girlfriend, Nicole Langevin, 33, on the monitor above a pair of slot machines Friday, WCVB-TV, Boston, reported Tuesday.

"Will You Marry Me, Nicole?" the display read when the couple approached it.

Taylor said he brandished a diamond ring and Langevin accepted his proposal. They are planning to wed next year, he said.
