Investigators said the suspect, described as a white man in his 20s, walked into the Rhawnhurst credit union at 12:41 p.m. EDT Monday and handed a teller a note demanding money, the Philadelphia Daily News reported Tuesday.
Police said the robber fled with about $2,500.
"I wouldn't mind going to Atlantic City [N.J.] with that guy and gambling for a bit," said John McNesby, president of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5. "He's probably one of the luckiest guys in the city right now.
"They'll get this guy," McNesby said. "Obviously, he's not a brain surgeon."
