Authorities in Oregon said they arrested a man accused of spraying bear repellent at a group of bicyclists during an argument.

Lt. Steve Alexander of the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office said Kenneth Lyle Tester, 68, was driving his Ford F150 truck when he got into an unspecified argument with bicyclists arriving at the Cracker Barrel store in Portland about 12:30 p.m. Sunday, The (Portland) Oregonian reported Tuesday.
Tester allegedly sprayed the group with bear repellent and bumped one bicyclist with his truck while leaving the parking lot.
The sheriff's office said Tester flagged down a deputy responding to a call about the incident and he was arrested after the deputy spoke to the involved parties.
Tester pleaded not guilty to charges of unlawful use of Mace and reckless endangerment.
