June "Mama June" Shannon's two daughters Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson and Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon barely recognized their mother after her From Not to Hot physical transformation.

Viewers are in for a shock when June, who began her weight-loss journey at 460 pounds, drops down to a size 4 on her new WEtv docu-reality series Mama June: From Not to Hot, which debuts on Friday at 10PM ET/PT.

Alana, 11, and Lauryn, 17, -- who were there every step of the way -- are now opening up about their mom's jaw-dropping makeover.

"She had gastric sleeve back in May of 2015, and then she slowly started losing weight, and the reason she got the gastric sleeve was because she hit a plateau -- she couldn't lose any weight," Lauryn told Entertainment Tonight, referring to the procedure that makes a patient's stomach smaller.

"And then it came to a point where [the trainer] had to step in because she hit another plateau with the gastric sleeve, and wasn't losing any more weight."

After the surgery, June reportedly had to go under the knife again in order to remove all the excess skin that was left over from her weight loss.

"Her stomach started looking gross," Lauryn admitted candidly. "It was hanging from where she lost so much weight, and her arms and her chin, so she got [the skin on] her stomach removed."

The mother of four also "got her boobies done," revealed Lauryn. The mother of four "got them from a 44 long to 36 up."

Besides the ongoing challenges of diet and exercise, June apparently still struggles with her mental and emotional state as well.

"I think that her biggest thing [she has to] overcome is that fact that she still thinks of herself as a bigger person, because, even to this day, like, a couple of days ago we had a conversation, and... she looked in the mirror and was like, 'I'm still fat,'" Lauryn shared. "And I guess because she's seen herself as a bigger person all these years, she doesn't realize how small she is."

June is also forced to remain in hiding until her big reveal on Mama June: From Not to Hot so that viewers will watch the series and ultimately be surprised by her results.

"It is very hard because mama, she is a very stubborn person, and she wants to do everything. She's like, 'Alright, I've got to go to the store,' and we're like, 'Mama, no, you need to stay in the house because if somebody gets a picture with you...'" Lauryn explained to ET, adding that June needs to disguise herself when in public. "If she does go out, she has to be, like, suited up."

Alana revealed she's "very happy" her mom went on this journey despite initially being against the idea because of risks associated with the surgical procedures. But the payoff was huge, because June is now confident, healthy and proud.

"I'm not trying to be all R-rated or whatever, but, she'll walk around the house in a pair of underwear!" Lauryn joked. "I'm like, 'June, put your pants on, put your pants on!'"

The show's trainer, Kenya Crooks, recently told People that June's new look is "phenomenal" and absolutely "ridiculous."

"You won't even be able to recognize her -- her kids don't even recognize her," Crooks insisted.

June, Alana and Lauryn previously starred on TLC's Here Comes Honey Boo Boo but the series was canceled in October 2014. June also appeared on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars with her ex Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson.
