Lindsay Lohan was freed after spending 14 hours in jail and will once again be fitted with an alcohol-monitoring bracelet, an official said.

Lohan walked out of the Lynwood, Calif., jail late Friday shortly after supervising Judge Patricia Schnegg granted her bail upon appeal from Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, CNN reported Saturday.

"She's been very cooperative -- always has been -- the first time, and then the last time," Los Angeles Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore told People magazine. "Let's hope this is the last time."

Schnegg overturned an initial ruling by Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Elden Fox, who ordered Lohan to remain in jail for 29 days until her next hearing after Lohan failed a mandatory drug test.

Lohan was ordered to stay away from establishments where "alcohol is the chief item of sale," People said. Her next hearing is scheduled for Oct. 22 to address her probation violation.

Lohan was arrested twice in 2007 for driving under the influence. Her second arrest also included a charge of cocaine possession.

"I pray to God that Shawn does the right thing and advises her to go right into rehab now, and show the judge she's serious, because in 30 days when she goes back before the judge he can do whatever he wants," Lohan's father, Michael, told CNN.
