Lindsay Lohan's mother, Dina Lohan, will sit down with Matt Lauer for an exclusive live interview, NBC announced Thursday.

Friday's chat on "Today" will be the first time Lohan talks in detail about her daughter's time in jail and current stay in court-ordered rehab, the network said in a news release.
The younger Lohan left jail this month after serving 13 full days of a 90-day sentence imposed for violating her probation.
Despite her youth and promising career, the U.S. actress has long battled an addiction to drugs and alcohol. She immediately entered a drug treatment facility after leaving jail.
The 24-year-old star of "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls" spent nearly two weeks this summer in a solitary cell for violating her probation in a 2007 driving under the influence case. Her sentence was cut short due to her good behavior behind bars and overcrowding in the prison system.
