Lindsay Lohan has been granted a temporary restraining order by a Los Angeles judge against a man she says has stalked her with text messages and phone calls.

At a hearing Thursday, the actress said David Cocordan apparently believes they are in a romantic relationship, the Los Angeles Times reported. She said that in two years he called her and texted her more than 100 times, left boxes of chocolates and magazine articles at her home and gone to her public appearances.
The temporary order bars Cocordan from any attempt to see or communicate with Lohan. Another hearing is scheduled June 8 to decide whether to issue a permanent restraining order.
Police have said Cocordan, 38, appears to be schizophrenic and not taking medication.
Lohan, 24, has other legal troubles. She is scheduled to begin a 120-day jail sentence June 17 for probation violation, although she is likely to spend most of it under home confinement.
She pleaded no contest this month to misdemeanor theft charges stemming from her arrest for allegedly shoplifting a $2,500 necklace. The judge in that case decided not to add more jail time to what she must serve for violating probation on a drunken driving conviction.
