Lamebook, a Web site based in Austin, Texas, dedicated to republishing "lame" Facebook posts, has settled a trademark infringement suit, its founders say.

Under the agreement reached in August, Lamebook now has two disclaimers on its home page, The Austin American-Statesman reported. Both say there are no ties between the sites and one describes Lamebook as an "unofficial parody" site.
Jonathan Standefer said he and Matthew Genitempo, who founded Lamebook together are "happy that it's over."
"The parties are now satisfied that users are not likely to be confused," the two sites said in a joint statement after the Aug. 25 agreement.
Lamebook describes itself as "a parody Web site that highlights the funny, absurd, and often 'lame' content that gets posted on the Facebook website." Facebook, which demanded last year that it cease and desist, said it was not a parody because it does not comment on Facebook, only republishes some status updates with names removed and faces blurred.
Lamebook filed a lawsuit in November challenging the cease and desist order.
