Kristin Chenoweth and Jon Cryer took the prizes for best supporting actress and actor in a comedy at the 61st Prime Time Emmy Awards in Los Angeles Sunday.

In her acceptance speech, Chenoweth took note of the fact that her show, "Pushing Daisies," has been canceled.

"Thank you," she said through tears as she collected her statuette. "I'm unemployed now, so I'd like to be on 'Mad Men.' I also like 'The Office' and '24.' I'm shocked. I can't believe it. ... Thank you so much, Academy, for recognizing a show that is no longer on the air."

Chenoweth -- who won a Tony Award for "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" and a Tony nomination for "Wicked" -- also gave shout-outs to her parents, manager and the creative team behind "Pushing Daisies."

Cryer won for his work on the CBS comedy, "Two and a Half Men."

"I can't believe this is happening to me," he said. "I used to think awards were just shallow tokens of momentary popularity, but now I realize they are the only true measure of a person's real worth as a human being, so thank you."

The actor went on to praise the cast of his show, particularly co-star Charlie Sheen, with whom he had previously shared the big screen in the 1991 movie, "Hot Shots!"

"Charlie Sheen is amazing and he needs one of these," Cryer said, referring to his Emmy. "He makes it look so easy and it's not. He's amazing, so thank you, man. This is yours."
