Kendra Wilkinson: Long-distance separation a blessing in disguise

By Elizabeth Kwiatkowski, 11/02/2010

Kendra Wilkinson's NFL football-fueled separation from her husband Hank Baskett apparently hasn't been so bad for her after all.

"[It's been a] blessing in disguise," the Kendra star told People on Saturday about her current separation from Baskett, who has spent the last month playing for the Minnesota Vikings while she continues to live in Philadelphia, where the couple had been residing prior to his September release by the Eagles.

"It's a way to step away from everything and actually get a chance to [get to] know each other again."

According to Wilkinson, the couple has gotten back to focusing on the communication aspect to their relationship rather than the physical -- reminding her of their earlier dating days.

Although Wilkinson and Baskett need to spend a lot of time away from each other, they still hold their 10-month-old son, Hank IV, to be their first priority, as he "brings [them] all together," People reported.

"He's the centerpiece of our lives. He's the gravity of our family," Wilkinson said. He's already starting to share. He's such a thoughtful little boy. He has such a huge heart."

The new season of Kendra will premiere Sunday, November 7 at 10PM ET/PT on E!.
