Kelly Rowland may reportedly be swapping The X Factor jobs with Nicole Scherzinger.

While Rowland is currently serving her first season as a judge and mentor on The X Factor's original U.K. version and Scherzinger has been performing the same job on Fox's new U.S. edition, Rowland's success and apparent likeability has Simon Cowell considering switching their roles for the shows' next seasons, the UK's Now Magazine reported.

"Simon thinks she'll be amazing on the US show," a source told the magazine. "Nicole's had a mixed reaction in the US, so there's talk of a job swap."

The X Factor declined to confirm or deny the claim when contacted.

"No decisions have been made regarding next year's UK or US shows," a show representative told Now.

The swap is the latest twist on The X Factor's alleged plans to shake up the judging panel for both versions of the show next season, as earlier this month reports that Rowland may simply leave the UK show and replace Scherzinger on the panel in America had surfaced.

"Simon has been blown away by Kelly," a source told the UK's Daily Star at the time.

"He's made no secret of the fact he thinks she's the star of the UK show. Simon's been less impressed with how Nicole is faring in the US."
