Kelly Clarkson to release Christmas book inspired by daughter

Kelly Clarkson will release a Christmas book inspired by daughter River Rose in October.
The 35-year-old singer said in a video Wednesday that the toddler's love of the holidays led her to write River Rose and the Magical Christmas and the new song "Christmas Eve."
"I decided to go the Christmas route because ... she loves Christmas," the star explained. "She's at such a fun age -- she's three -- and it's a fun time for kids and Christmas. She just gets so excited about it that I thought it'd be a fun book for her to read."
Clarkson said "Christmas Eve" will be a full-length song that would feel at place on a Christmas album.
"I did it from the perspective from the elves," she said. "They're celebrating because it's Christmas Eve -- the whole year they've been putting Christmas together and now, finally, Santa's going out. It's like their celebration song."
Clarkson published her first children's picture book, River Rose and the Magical Lullaby, in October, and accompanied the book with the lullaby "River Rose's Magical Lullaby." She celebrated River's third birthday this month.
"Happy Birthday to our smart, witty, & beautiful girl, River Rose! She wished for 'pink forever' on her birthday Thanks @weisseubanks 4 the amazing pics!" the star captioned a collage June 12 on Instagram.
Clarkson shares River and 14-month-old son Remy with husband Brandon Blackstock. She is also stepmom to Blackstock's children Seth and Savannah, and captured a sweet moment between River and Seth this month.
