Rascal Flatts took the CMA for group of the year and the hosts of the evening's festivities, Brooks & Dunn, were named vocal duo of the year.
Lee Ann Womack's "I May Hate Myself in the Morning" was the single of the year and her album "There's More Where That Came From" was the CMA album of the year. Womack also won the musical event of the year award for her duet with George Strait, "Good News, Bad News."
Song of the year honors went to Bill Anderson and Jon Randall's "Whiskey Lullaby" performed by Paisley and Alison Krauss.
Country superstar Vince Gill inducted Alabama, Glen Campbell and DeFord Bailey into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
