Keith Robinson joins the cast of Hollywood's 'Dreamgirls' film

The big screen version of Broadway's "Dreamgirls" has snagged Keith Robinson for the role of composer C.C., it was reported Wednesday.

Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Hudson are also cast, with shooting scheduled to begin in January.
Usher was reported to have been in talks for the role now in the hands of Robinson, The Hollywood Reporter said.
Robinson's credits include "Fat Albert," the recent FX series "Over There" and NBC's "American Dreams."
