Keeping Up with the Kardashians has shut down production as a result of Kim Kardashian's traumatic attack in which she was bound, gagged and robbed of $10 million in jewelry in Paris earlier this week.

"Kim's well-being is our core focus right now. No decision has been made as to when production will resume," a spokesperson for E! told Variety.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians will still return to E! with more Season 12 episodes as scheduled on October 23 despite the halt in filming.

It's unclear which season of KUWTK is currently filming, however, the family signed a three-year extension deal with the network in early 2015. E! also declined comment when asked if cameras were rolling in Paris around the time of the robbery.

Despite E!'s statement, two sources told People the famous family was still filming the show earlier this week after Kardashian was targeted but the mother of two returned to Los Angeles on Thursday to be with her husband Kanye West and has been avoiding cameras and social media.

"Kim's family filmed this week. Kim did not and she is not ready to film. Filming has been halted and won't resume until Kim is ready. There is no stress for Kim to resume filming. Everyone is understanding," one of the sources said.

"Kim is still upset and things are not even close to being back to normal. She has no plans to work in the near future. She just wants to stay home with her kids."

The source added that Kardashian realizes she has been living in "a bubble."

"She could have never imagined being robbed like this. She is now more worried than ever about protecting the kids. She doesn't want to let them out of sight," the source explained.
