The divorce of U.S. pop star Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand was finalized Monday, E! News reported.

Brand, who wed Perry in 2010, moved to end the 14-month marriage Dec. 30, 2011.
UsMagazine.com said the former couple split up because their busy careers frequently kept them apart and they couldn't agree on when to start a family.
