Katherine Webb and former University of Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron, who announced their engagement last month, will reportedly star in their own reality show.

Webb is a former Miss Alabama USA who became a media sensation when ESPN commentator Brent Musburger fawned over her during an otherwise uneventful Alabama-Notre Dame championship game last year. She subsequently competed on ABC's "Splash" celebrity diving competition.

The 24-year-old's sister, Laurie Webb, told The Plainsman that the couple had "already started filming" when McCarron proposed.

"From what I understood, it came from someone else. I don't think they were trying to get into a reality show, I think they just had the opportunity and decided to take it," Laurie added.

Webb's father, Alan, told fans to expect a "wholesome" series.

"To me, I still have a hard time viewing my daughter as being some type of celebrity," he said. "She's just still my daughter, but having it televised, it probably would work well for the fact that both she and AJ are known to a lot of people."

McCarron seemed to indicate on Twitter that he would not be a huge part of the series.

I think it's funny how people think I am doing a tv show. I play football that's it! What my future wife does is her business #worryaboutyou— AJ McCarron (@10AJMcCarron) April 9, 2014
